A few weeks before prom was coming this guy I had known all my years in high school asked me to go to the senior prom with him as friends. Of course I agreed---how could i not?

He and I were friends for those past 3 years in high school. We hung out occasionally, exchanged text messages, shared mutual friends, and had classes together. I would never in a million years think he'd have feelings for me like I had for him.

During the last half hour of prom we were slow dancing to a really great song, and moments leading into the ending of the song, he kissed me! It startled me at first, but then I realised it felt sincere. Everything was so surreal after that moment. Shortly after the dance ended I called my mom telling her I was going to spend the night at friend's house when really I was going with him.

When we got to his house he told me his parents were away for the weekend and wouldn't be back until tomorrow. I asked him if he could give me a few minutes so I could take at least 5 pounds of makeup off and start taking off my expensive gown. He offered to help me with the other half so I saved that for him.

After we were all ready he instantaneously lifted me up and carried me into his bedroom. I wanted to take things slow, to really make this night worthwhile. He agreed since he wanted the same thing. We sat on his bed for a while, kissing passionately. Then he started talking dirty, whispering in my ear what he wanted to do. I have to admit, the tone in his voice was starting to get me a little wet, so that's when things started to heat up. He was about to rip my dress off when i had to warn him it was like 300 dollars. So he carefully took it off while I started to unbutton his vest. We kicked off both of our shoes and tumbled on the bed.

After we got bored with the traditional sex, he wanted to impress me evidently so he got up fully naked and got us some wine. We sat on his bed drinking and laughing about some old memories we shared together and quickly got back into it. I took control the rest of the night and if I do say so myself I had a really enjoyable time.

When I woke up the next morning we were still naked, spooning. I got up like the nice non-virgin I now was and made him breakfast. When he woke up he was really upset since he wanted to make it first. I teased him about it and we ended up laughing and eating the food together in his bed. Not too soon after we ended up having morning sex. I was glad to know I took his virginity, while he took mine. I never regretted not telling my mom since it's really none of her business since I was 18.

He and I are currently on/off. Our relationship status right now is "friends with benefits" since we don't go to the same college. But every time I see him I fantasise about that terrific night I spent with him.

Everyone's sex is experienced differently. But make sure you're ready for it, and ALWAYS use protection if you don't want to have a child (obviously). Just make sure it's right for both of you and don't do it because of your surroundings---do it because you feel like it's right, and do it with someone you won't regret.

It's all about communication, so if you aren't ready or having a good time, just stop. If they really cared about you, they would understand.
