How do I still have "morning wood" if I don't exactly have dreams?
I understand that "morning wood" is caused by a "wet dream", but my question is how do I still have "morning wood" if I don't exactly have dreams of any kind at all?
I kind of think my erection may be caused by my bladder being full but I'm not too sure if that can even cause erections... Also, I want to know whether erections make it hard to pee. I don't know whether it happens to all of us guys or it's just me.
Hi there and thanks for your question.
Erections first thing in the morning or during the night are not actually caused by wet dreams.
Erections can happen regularly all night while you are asleep, and often happen first thing in the morning. This is normal and happens for all guys from puberty onward. The reason that they happen in the morning is because testosterone levels are at their highest at that point.Testosterone is the male hormone that is responsible for male sex characteristics and sex drive.
Wet dreams are a different thing. Wet dreams are where an orgasm and an ejaculation (cum) happens while a guy is asleep. Sometimes they happen when a guy wakes up and remembers a sexy dream he had. Other times, the guy may not remember having a dream at all. Some guys have wet dreams a lot and others never do, but either way it's normal.
Yes, erections can make it harder to pee, and this is also normal. A full bladder doesn't actually cause an erection but it does make it hard for the erection to go away. When you get an erection it closes off the tube that carries urine from the bladder. You need just wait for that morning erection ("wood") to go away so you can pee.
All the best and take care.
