If someone likes you but you don't feel the same way, you don't have to hang around them or spend time with them if you don't want to. Avoiding someone can be uncomfortable and awkward but you can try hanging out with people who you do like and focusing your attention on them instead. You can try not to go to places where you are likely to bump into this guy. You can also try new activities or routines in order to avoid him. Try not to sacrifice activities you do enjoy, but take a friend with you instead!

If you try your hardest to avoid him and then accidentally run into him, keep the conversation short, only give brief responses and give a reason you need to leave if you are uncomfortable.

If this boy openly tells you he likes you then it's okay to tell him you don't feel the same way. You can tell him you think he is a nice guy but that you are not interested in him that way.
