Sometimes during sex i get overly wet. What does this mean and how can i make it stop?
Sometimes during sex i get overly wet (a lot of the time) to the point where myself and my partner cannot feel anything anymore—no friction. I sometimes have to go wipe myself dry and i don't want to have to do keep doing this anymore.
What does this mean and how can i make it stop? I have not had good sex in a while. Help. Very frustrated.
Hi there. Too much of a good thing can be a problem. Many girls find they are too dry and sex is uncomfortable with too much friction. But as you say, too much vaginal lubrication can make it too slippery and reduce sensation.
The easiest thing is to start off dry, so have tissues to use at the beginning and during sex. The amount of vaginal lubrication a woman has does vary with age, hormones, pregnancy, stress and mood. So you will probably find that it does change as you get older.
Some girls find the oestrogen in the oral contraceptive pill can increase lubrication. If you are on this, you could talk to your doctor about the pros and cons of changing to a progesterone-only pill.
It can also make sense to have a check-up with a nurse or doctor in case an infection or thrush is increasing your wetness. But most girls find there isn't a cause.
It is said that anything that dries your mouth will also dry your vagina. There are some tablets that could help and even surgery (but that's drastic!). Many guys like the wetness because it's exciting and shows you are excited. You may find clenching with your vagina, using your pelvic floor muscles, may increase sensations for both of you.
Try not to get too stressed about it because that only makes sex stressful. It's good you are enjoying sex and are lubricating well, and hopefully these simple suggestions will help. Good luck!
