My boyfriend keeps asking if he can do a pink sock with me! What is it and is it bad?

Q.
Hey my boyfriend keeps asking if he can do a pink sock with me! What is it and is it bad?
A.

Thanks for your question.

I think a "pink sock" is a rectal prolapse. This is when the rectum is pushed outside of the anus. It's not a pleasant condition, and I hope your boyfriend is just joking with you.

Remember that in any sexual relationship, you do not have to do anything you are not comfortable with. Think first about what's involved in doing a particular sexual thing and then decide what you would be comfortable with and what you do not want to do. Stick to this decision when you are in bed. Otherwise you run the risk of being pushed past your limits, and this can be quite emotionally and psychologically damaging.

If someone forces you to do something you don't want, this is sexual assault—a criminal offence. It doesn't matter if it's your boyfriend, friend, or someone you don't know.

You can, of course, experiment sexually, and I believe you have a healthy attitude in checking things out before you try them. Make sure you are aware of the dangers of sexual intercourse without a condom—there are several diseases you could catch through vaginal or anal sex. If you are thinking about anal sex, find out more about what it could be like. Some people are okay with it but others find it painful or uncomfortable.
